As another week comes to a close, I wanted to give a quick reminder that progress reports are coming home in Friday Folders today. If your student has a grade of a D or lower, the grade will be highlighted, and must be signed by a parent and returned to school on Monday.
Blue forms went home on Wednesday night. These are required by our district to have returned to school, so if you have one at home, please return it as soon as possible. This helps our school receive the appropriate amount of funding from the government. If you haven't seen this and may need another copy, please let me know!
Our class took our first math test over decimals and long division on Wednesday. These are graded and will be going home with the students. Again, if your child received a D or lower, he/she is required to fix the problems that were incorrect for half credit, have it signed by a parent and return it to school. Anyone who wishes to try and raise their score may do so, but only those with a D or lower must correct it. You may want to ask your child how they did!
We also finished our first writing project on Wednesday, and the students are celebrating their hard work! We will be using this writing process throughout this year, so it will become very familiar. Some members of the class also had a chance to experiment with using the student blog. One day next week, our whole class will be using the iPads to become familiar with using this site.
Have a wonderful weekend!
