I hope everyone had a great time at the Hang Out Night last night! I was excited to see many of our classmates in attendance, and wearing some great costumes! Thank you to PTA and all of the volunteers who made the evening a great success!
This upcoming week will be a short, but busy one. Monday is our BSSE field trip, and the class has been busily preparing for this for many weeks. Please make sure a permission slip/written permission is given by Monday morning, as we'll have to board the bus immediately after morning announcements.
On Wednesday and Thursday, we have Parent-Teacher conferences. Please make sure your student also attends the conference with you, since we are doing student-led conferences. Your students have been working very hard to collect artifacts that show what they are proud of so far this year. 1st Quarter grade cards will be given out at conferences.
DARE lessons are underway and will continue each Tuesday through January. Once a date is set for DARE graduation, I will let you know.
I'm looking forward to 2nd Quarter, which will include finishing memoirs, beginning our study of fractions and decimals, learning about plants, animals and the human body, researching the early explorers of our country and developing and refining critical thinking skills about literature.
Have a great rest of the weekend.
